Vidarbha-level Cyclothon will be organized as a part of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav on January 12 at 6 a.m. at Deekshabhoomi square.
Addressing media persons convener of the event Devyani Joshi said around 3000 cyclists are expected to participate in the event. The total prize money for the race is Rs 1.96 lakh. The first five winners in each section will get attractive cash prizes and there will be ten more consolation prizes in each section.
The participants in fun race will get finisher medal. She further said the cycling competition will be organized in four categories including U-18 boys and girls (11 km), Under-15 boys and girls (8 km) , Under-12 boys and girls (5 km)Â and fun race (3 km) that will be open for all.
The entry fee is Rs 50 and entries can be confirmed at KKM offices situated at MLA Krishna Khopde’s office, Aai Foundation office Reshimbagh, Vivekanand Nagar sports complex, Purti Laxmi Nagar Gokulpeth Market, Mangalam Model mill, KKM office at Sitabuldi. The last day of entry is January 10. Padmashree Deshpande and Vaishali Deo were also present at the press conference.
