The second day of the New Year came with a surprise for the Nagpurians as the city witnessed another round of unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm on Thursday morning. And the heavy downpour crippled normal life of the city as the roads are flooded with water and the citizens face lot of difficulties while driving and traffic came to standstill across the city.
Photos by Chandrakant PaddhaneAnd the second day of New Year being working day hundreds of school children and office-goers were stuck in their way and in true sense a difficult task to reach their destinations.As per information, the several parts of the city also reported hailstorm activities.Earlier the Skymet Weather predicted that a Confluence Zone is likely to develop due to the merging of southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea with south-easterlies from the Bay of Bengal. It also reported that in the wake of this convergence, scattered light rain may commence in parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada also a few intense spells of rain in these two meteorological divisions.
