Recently the civic administration of the city started the mission to free the roads and the footpaths of the city from encroachments. As per reports, the civic body was conducted anti-encroachment drive in the city’s seven zones on Thursday and confiscated material worth 11 trucks.
As per information, the places include footpaths near Mental Hospital square,Zenda square in Mangalwari zone, the civic body has taken strict action against the encroachers and it is reported that fine worth Rs.10000 was recovered from them.Similarly,three stalls  near the rural RTO was also razed and materials seized. Apart from this, 27 encroachments were removed from footpaths near Bhande plant square to Gurudev Nagar square, Ishwar Nagar Chowk in Nehru Nagar zone. Similarly the encroachments were also removed from footpaths of Marwadi square to Dahibazar square and Rani Durgavati square in Satranjipura zone. The anti-encroachment drive team was also taken action against the violators near market road 13 number naka, Express City mall and Gandhi Nagar lake area in Mahal.
The anti-encroachment drive was started from Wednesday during which 150 encroaching structures were impounded on the first day whereas on Thursday over a hundred structures were confiscated.
