Nagpur: The Tennis Ball Cricket tournament in the open men category in the season 3 of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav being promoted as Chak De, Khelo Nagpur Khelo, will be played at six different grounds covering all the corners of the city from, from Jan 13 to 21.
The Khasdar Krida Mahotsav is a brain child of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Shipping Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, and is country’s first multisport grass root festival which provides a competition format for the players and amateur cricketers of Nagpur.
The tennis ball cricket event of this multisport festival carries handsome prize money of Rs 3,54,000. Matches will be played at Chhatrapati Nagar ground, Buddha Nagar Ground, Chitnis Park, Kacchivisa ground, Binzani College and Ram Nagar.
The overall champion team will win a cash prize of Rs 51,000 while the team finishing second will be richer by Rs 31,000. In addition winners and runners-up team at all the six respective grounds will be given a cash prize of Rs 21000 and 11,000 respectively. In addition there will be many individual prizes.
