Nagpur: The results of Common Admission Test (CAT)-2019 for admissions to Indian Institutes of Management were declared on Saturday evening.
Around 10 students secured 100 percentile in CAT 2019 from all over India. City boy Sushant Thombre with percentile score of 99.99 is the probable topper, closely followed by Sri Ram Mahalingam, who scored 99.97 percentile, and is probable second topper. Manmath Deshpande is probable third topper with percentile score of 99.60.
Sushant Thombre is a former student of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT). Sri Ram Mahalingam also is a former student of VNIT. The other probable top-spotters with percentile score of more than 99 included Yash Gupta (99.57), Shuvendu Ranabijuli (99.54), Kaustabh Chatterjee (99.44), Pranay Gupta (99.36), and Vedant Vyas (99.26).
The CAT score-card comprises score in three sections — Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantative Ability. Now that the CAT results are out, the successful students will be assessed in areas like essay writing, group discussions, group exercise, case studies, and personal interviews based on the Business schools.
