Saurabh Lokhande emerged champion in the Weekend Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA) in association with Dhanwate National College (DNC) at  at NDCA Hall, indoor Sports complex,  Congress Nagar here on Sunday.
In the eight round tournament Lokhande remained unbeaten and earned highest 7.5 points to win the title. Aarav Bhartia followed him for second place with 6.5 points. Anshul Saxena, Dinesh Tirpude, Aditya Bodkhe Nilesh Bannde andVivaan Saraogi secured six points each. However on the basis of tie-breaker, Tirpude was declared third followed by Saxena for fourth place. Bodkhe secured fifth place.
Final stanings: 1 Saurabh Lokhande (7.5, 39), 2. Bhartia Aarav (6.5, 39), 3. Dinesh Tirpude (6,41), 4. Saxena Anshul (6, 38.5), 5. Bodkhe Aditya (6,38), 6. Vivaan Saraogi (6, 37), 7. Nilesh Bande (6, 33), 8. Wahane Kunal (5.5, 37), 9. Meshram Aniruddha (5.5, 32), 10. Ramteke Ayush (5, 36.5).
