Children often learn their behaviour from their parents. Even if the parents are wrong at some point the children adapt to the same habits.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Traffic Police Department of the city will be organising a programme “Mummy Papa You Too†from January 13 to 19. The programme will be focusing on spreading a message of cleanliness to the parents. During the awareness program, parents will also be made aware of traffic safety, as the same week happens to be the Traffic Safety week.
Students will be asked to provide awareness their parents on separating the dry and wet waste, to wear helmet and not to drive in opposite direction.
The aim behind organising this programme is to aware the citizens, increase public participation for cleanliness through the words of students. Â During this week various competitions will be organised and the citizens will be urged to follow the traffic rules and at the same time the parents will also be taught to keep their premises and city clean.
A meeting was held at NMC headquarters regarding the planning of this programme on Monday. During this meeting city based NGO’s and other representatives of the program were briefed on the planning of programme.
