Its indeed a good news for the sports enthusiasts of the city as the Central Provinces (CP) Club under the patronage of Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association is conducting first ever veterans’ All India Tennis Tournament at its tennis courts in Civil Lines. As per information, the two-day competition will begin from Saturday.
And the tournament will be inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Sunil Kedar on Saturday at 8 am. And senior advocate SK Mishra will be the guest of honour.Around 200 participants from all over India are expected to participate in this event. And the competition will be held in four age categories 35+,45+,55+, and 65+ in both singles and doubles. And the tournament carries total prize money of Rs one lakh and Rs 25000 will be distributed in each age category.
As per information, Glocal Mall is supporting the tournament. And the organizers will accept entries till Thursday evening. And those who are interested can submit their entries online. And there will be 10 such meets all over Maharashtra throughout the year and winners from each competition will qualify for Masters Tournament which will be conducted at the end of the year.
