Even though the Khau Galli has been inaugurated by the hands of Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari the stalls have not been yet settled. The space which was made available for the shop owners is being done and from Republic Day the whole Khau Galli will be open for public.
The whole area is being renovated and few things are still in process which needs to be done before the space opens up for public. From January 26 Khau Galli will be open for public to visit, said Amol Chorpagar, Garden Superintendent of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
Khau Galli has got 32 stalls; these were allotted to the owner through lots system. Currently the shutters and counters are being set up for the convenience of stall owners. NMC will be providing wash basin, drinking water and independent electric meter to each stall owner. The work of drainage lines and storage shutters is also being done behind the stalls. All this work will be done in maximum 20 days.
