A move to promote tourism, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation recently painted the sceneries of nature and pictures of birds from bird sanctuaries in Bhandara and Nagzira in Gondia district on Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen Express.
This is really a move to promote avian tourism. As part of the project the 17 bogies on the Deccan Queen Express, running on the Mumbai-Pune route have been painted with the wildlife scenery in Nagzira. The main aim of the project is to give an idea to the tourists about the main tourist attractions in Vidarbha, also to increase employment opportunities in Vidarbha via tourism. As per information, the MTDC has 23 tourist residential quarters in various places in Maharashtra. State assembly speaker Nana Patole recently visited the Deccan Queen train in train and expressed satisfaction. He also directed to take photographs of birds and animals and other places of nature from other tourist destinations in Vidarbha.
This is in true sense a golden opportunity to generate employment opportunities for the unemployed youth for the promotion and development of tourism. Apart from the tourist spots, the heritage sites can be utilised well for this purpose. So it is important to develop the tourism for the betterment of society.
Abhimanyu Kamble, managing director MTDC Mumbai remarked that if the tourism in Maharashtra gets the potential through rail, it will certainly increase the job opportunities.
