The ongoing 27th Orange City Craft Mela at South Central Zone Cultural Centre is receiving huge response from the people of Orange City. The exhibition began on January 10 and till date has witnessed various programs to add more entertainment at the extravaganza.The craft mela is open for visitors from 2 pm to 9:30 pm till January 19. Various programs like Fashion show, folk and tribal dance from various parts of India is organized where artist will present their art and share their cultural and traditional values.Folk and tribal dance performances among other various programmes have also been organized, Â artists from different parts of the country are participating in the event to showcase their talents, culture and tradition. Pungcholam / Dholcholam (Manipur), Sabalpuri Dance (Odisha), Purvantike Folk Dance (Karnataka), Gaur Madia(Chhattisgarh), Bardoi Shikhala / Dhalathumari (Assam), Sangrai Mong (Tripura), Bonalu / Batukamalu Dance (Telangana), Siddhi Dhamal (Gujarat), Nagada (Haryana) will be performed by the artist.From handloom to terracotta, khurja, potri, furniture, carpet, jewellery, paper mashi, metal craft, glass art, Punjabi Juti, Phulkari, Chanderi Saree, Paithani Saree, Banarasi Saree, Zari Work, Mat Weaving, Wooden Craft, Bell, handicrafts like metal, jute craft, khadi, kalamkari printing, leather puppet are all available under one roof at the Orange Craft Mela.The fair is getting a huge response from the nagpurians and people are eager to witness the exciting performances of the artists to showcase their culture and tradition in a unique and elegant way.
