The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will be on a day-long visit to Nagpur on January 17 for inspection of Vasudeo Nagar Metro Station. Vasudev Nagar Metro Station is one of the important metro stations located on the stretch between Lokmanya Nagar and Sitabuldi Interchange.
Some of the prominent academic institutions are located on the stretch near Vasudev Nagar Metro Station. The Metro Station is located on Aqua Line which stretches from Lokmanya Nagar on the Western side to Prajapati Nagar on eastern side. It is part of Reach-III stretch which touches Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station on one side and Sitabuldi Interchange on the other.
The CMRS, Janak Kumar Garg and Rishabh Dwivedi, other official, will inspect the major facilities provided at Metro Station. The officials will inspect Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates present in the concourse area. Demonstration of all emergency operations and services and also Public Address System (PAS) will be held in front of the CMRS officials.
The lift and escalator provided at the Metro Station will checked. The 2-member CMRS team will also examine passenger amenities like wash room, drinking water facility. The Auxiliary Sub-Station (ASS), Transformer and other such equipment and systems, along with Pump Room, would also reviewed by the officials.
Signal and Telecom are integral component of any passenger services of such dimension. Hence the CMRS team will also check Signalling Equipment Room (SER) and Telecom Equipment Room (TER) at the Metro Station. The relevant documents and manuals with the Metro officials will also be checked by the CMRS officers.
Exclusing Sitabuldi Interchange, Vasudev Nagar is one of the 10 Metro Stations on Reach-III, which has a length of 11 km.
