The 107th convocation ceremony of Rashtrasanth Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University was held on January 18 at Suresh Bhatt Hall. Chief Justice of India Sharad Bobde graced the dais along with Vice Chancellor Siddharthavinayaka Kane, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. V. S. Deshpande, Registrar Dr Niraj Khaty, deans of all the faculties and others.

Ayushi Khandelwal student of Dr Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research bagged 7 gold medals followed by Sayali Bhave student of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Law College bagged 6 gold medals along with Sakharam Mandape of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Philosophical Department.CJI Bobde in his inaugural speech congratulated all the students. He said that “this convocation ceremony is very special for me as the Nagpur University is my Alma mater.Education is serving as a tool for the empowerment of the youth. Education is the most powerful weapon which can change the world. Universities are not about brick and mortar only and are not suppose to function like an assembly line unit. Nagpur University has become a guiding light to many universitiesâ€.The awards to students were given by the hands of CJI Bobde and Vice Chancellor SP Kane.
