A Cycle rally was taken out on the city streets on Sunday morning with an aim to create awareness on protection on the environment, to keep the city pollution-free and to promote healthy living.The ‘Saksham – Cyclothon 2020’ cycle rally was organized with the joint efforts of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and The Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Air.
The rally began from the Rashtrasant Tukodji Maharaj Nagpur University Sports Ground at Ravi Nagar. It went to Law College Square to Japanese Garden square, Futala and ended back at the university ground. The rally was inaugurated by Mahesh Jangam, the regional administrator of BPCL. Â This type of rally was organized on behalf of various oil companies in 200 cities across the country. A large number of LPG gas delivery men and DSM of petrol pumps participated in the cycle rally in Nagpur.
