It is really good news for those students who are suffering from dyscalculia as the CBSE will now permit the use of calculators in board exams. As per information, the facility can be available only by those students who have already registered themselves under the ‘children with special needs’ (CWSN) category for the exams. It has also informed that the simple basic calculator can be used for the purpose.
The students with dyscalculia will have to apply for it specifically. As per source, the students will have to apply in writing to their principals following which the request has to be forwarded to the regional office concerned by February 2.After that the RO will give a final approval to school/centre superintendent.
And many principals of the city have expressed that this is indeed a positive move and definitely help the special students. And in complete sense, fantastic move by the CBSE which will certainly enhance the learning skills. CISCE board provides the most options for students with dyscalculia. Dyscalculia is the difficulty in learning or comprehending arithmetic.
