The 71st Republic Day is beibg celebrated with great enthusiasm and honour across the country. In the city, the grand celebration for the day was held at the historic Kasturchand Park with patriotic fervour on Sunday.
Guardian Minister of the District, Dr. Nitin Raut, unfurled the Tricolour at Kasturchand Park. He also took the guard of honour. Police and other personnel took out an impressive march past which was followed by colourful cultural programmes presented by students of different schools.
Raut was accompanied by officials of various government departments including the Divisional Commissioner, Police Commissioner and Nagpur Municipal Commissioner, Tukaram Mundhe besides a large number of people were present on the occasion.
Republic Day is also being celebrated at different educational, public institutions and private organisations. To mark the day a large number of people visited prominent places of the city along with their family and friends.
