It is really good news for the wild enthusiasts of the city as the Gorewada zoo in Nagpur, Katol Road is all set and ready to welcome visitors. As per information, the visitors will soon enjoy the Indian Safari in the zoo.However, the dates of the safari is not cleared yet. But there are speculations that the zoo will open for the visitors by March. And the central zoo has given permission to release two tigers, seven leopards, 6 bears and 15 blue bulls in the big enclosure of the safari.
As per information, all these wild animals have become fully healthy after their treatment in Wildlife Gorewada Rescue Centre. And all preparations for sending wild animals to Gorewada zoo is nearing its completion. In its bid to protect forests, the Government has taken a conscious decision to establish an international standard zoo and biopark on forest land at Gorewada in Nagpur.
