Shiv Bhojan thali project has been initiated in the city and all over Maharashtra from 71st Republic Day. The initiative is for needy and poor citizens and people have welcomed with good response.
The thali service has already begun at seven places in the city and will begin soon in the remaining two places in the city. Nine agencies have been selected for implementing this scheme in Nagpur.
As a part of this scheme, the thali or food plate will be available in government-funded canteens. The thali consists of two chapatis, one vegetable bowl, rice, and dal and will be available from 12 noon to 2 pm at the following places in the city:
Ganeshpeth, Bus stand: Shrimati Jankidevi Bahuddeshiya Sanstha and Shri Ganesh Bhojanalay (75-75 thalis).
Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Cancer Hospital: Shri Gurudev Bhojanalay and Manthan Mahila Savings Group (75-75 Thalis).
Kalmna Agricultural Produce Market Committee: CR Traders and Telmasare Bhojanalay (75-75 thalis).
Matruseva Sangh Hospital, Mahal: Suvidha Bahuddeshiya Sanstha (75 thalis).
