While the fear of a new coronavirus outbreak is spreading rapidly in China and other countries, a patient who had just turned from China was admitted to a Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) two days back after he fell ill have been tested negative for the virus and discharged.This comes as a big relief to the doctors and the public health department. Recently the World Health Organization on declared the outbreak a global health emergency.
Another 35-year-old woman who returned from China in December has shown the symptoms. She was suffering from cold and cough and so was admitted to GMCH. Her samples were sent for checking immediately to Pune National Institute Virology. Â The reports received on Saturday depicted negatively for coronavirus.
Similarly, a 24-year-old China returned girl, is admitted to the hospital with symptoms of severe cold and cough. The girl has been checked by the team of doctors and sent home. However, the health department is keeping a watch on such patients to avoid further complications.
