The 22nd OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Invitational Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists’ Association of Nagpur (SJAN) in association with Orange City Water (OCW) and HCL will begin on Wednesday at Vasant Nagar ground at 9 a.m.
In all nine teams are participating in the tournament and they have been divided in three groups. Group ‘A’ include defending champion The Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar and Punyanagari. The group ‘B’ consist of last years’ runners up Lokmat, Sakal and Deshonnati whereas group ‘C’ include The Hitavada, Loksatta- Indian Express and Tarun Bharat.
Two from each group will qualify for the super six stages. The league matches will be played at Vasant Nagar ground and from February 15, the super six matches, semis and final will be played at Vasant Nagar ground.
White balls sponsored by Sports Link will be used in the tournament. On Tuesday the dressed will be distributed to the teams in the presence of OCW and HCL officials at SJAN office, Vivekanand Nagar at 10 am.
