Nagpur: A speeding car crushed three bikers to death on Koradi road near Jhulelal Institute of Technology on Tuesday night. The deceased were identified as Nandkishor Pusadkar, 38, Chandrabhan Ingole, 65 and Chindhubai Kakde, 52, all residents of Bailwada village in Koradi. Sources said, the car was coming on the wrong lane. Pusadkar, Ingole and Kakde were on a bike (MH 31 BX 4540). They were going to book a hall for the wedding of Chandrabhan’s son. The four-wheeler (MH 49 U 7794) rammed into the bike from the opposite direction. All three sustained grievous injuries. They were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
The car driver managed to flee the scene of mishap after the incident. Police have lodged FIR against the unidentified car drive and launched a man hunt to trace him. The car is registered in the name of a man named More.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended upon the family members of Chandrabhan. Wedding celebrations have turned into mourning for them.
It is pertinent to note here that accidents have increased on Koradi road after the construction of new four-lane road. Recently, a truck had crushed a 50-year-old biker to death.
