Sindhi Panchayat Khamla president Narayan Ahuja, chief secretary Mohan Chauhan, secretary Vinod Jethani and other residents of Khamla area demanded to build a parking space instead of the cycle track at the Khamla market.
Khamla market which is one of the crowded places in the city still lacks the parking facility. Daily citizens visit the market face difficulties to park their vehicles. Even the citizens going towards Sonegaon take Khamla main road. So, there is a constant movement of vehicles on this road. Under the Road development project, various construction work is being carried out in the city, cement road is being constructed from Orange City Hospital to Sahakar Nagar crematorium. Alongside this, the cycle track is also being made on the same road. However, the traders here are suggesting that a proper parking place must be constructed here instead of the cycle track.
The businessmen at Khamla market stated that even if the cycle track gets constructed here, it will be of no use as parking space is a must in the area.
People visiting the market park their vehicles right in front of shops blocking the way. This, in turn, affects the traffic at Khamla main road.
