Nagpur Sports Promotional Venture (NSVP) is organising ‘Maha Metro Mihan Marathon’ powered by MADC in MIHAN area on February 16 at 7 a.m. The race will be flagged off from W building and will conclude at the same place.
The even will be organised in three categories i.e. Development Run (10 km), Fitness Run (5 km) and Fun Run (3 km) in various age groups including Champs (6 to 14 years), Youngsters (15 to 30 years), Enthusiasts (31 to 49 years), veterans (50 and above) and Motivators (specially abled). Total prize money for the event is Rs 5 lakh and cash prizes will be given to first three winners in each category. The entry fees are Rs 500 for Development Run, Rs 300 form fitness Run and Rs 250 for Fun Run.
The event is recognized by Nagpur District Athletics Association and around 5,000 athletes are expected to participate. The participants will be provided goodie bag containing T-shirt, snacks and BIB.
Union minister Nitin Gadkari, guardian minister Nitin Raut, Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh, former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, mayor Sandip Joshi, MD of Maha Metro Brijesh Dixit, MD of MADC Anil Patil and others will grace the occasion.
There will be free transportation facility for the participants through Metro Rail from Sitabuldi to Khapri MIHAN station and back. The special service will start from 5.45 a.m. from Sitabuldi.
