Citizens of Nagpur are going through life-threatening situations that are even affecting properties owned by them. Gang wars in the city have taken a leap in its numbers which seems to be uncontrollable by city police.
In CCTV footage from February 13, gangsters can be seen carrying swords in hands. Few are also noticed to have hockey sticks. Goons can also be seen spreading nuisance and threatening the locals of Dhammadeep colony.
Vandevi Nagar is also noticed to be among few areas which are being manhandled by the gangsters. Vehicles and autos were trashed and private properties were damaged. The residents of Dhamadeep and Vandevi areas were derided by these goons, giving them life threatening taunts. More than 20 vehicles have been damaged in both areas.
Cops have arrested four accused of the said gang who are under interrogation. Juber Qureshi had an attempt to collect the protection money from Gulshan Bokde who runs an illegal gambling hub. Bokde denied the collection money and even pounded on him. This action urged Qureshi and his gang members to get on the streets and create a nuisance in the city.
