Recently the city hosted Vidarbha literature festival and now all set to host the second Nagpur Literary Festival organised by Zeal Foundation and supported by Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).As per information, the two-day event will commence from February 15. Ajay Deshpande, President of Zeal Foundation, while addressing a press conference  on Thursday said that the two-day literature festival will witness discussions and brain storming sessions on various topics such as literature, history, science and technology, sports, development of cities, national safety and environment, arts and culture.
Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Sahasarkaryawah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will inaugurate the festival on February 15 at 10 am. The programme will be held at Hansa Hall, Soham Old Age Home, besides Sevasadan School, Sitabuldi. Dr Sacchidananda Joshi, Secretary, Indira Gandhi National Arts Centre; Dr Sanjay Kumar, Director,WCL; Dr Rajnish Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha; Dr Harshavardhan Mardikar, Director, Spandan Hospital, and Maj Gen A S Deo, former President of Brahmos, will be the chief guests during the inaugural function. After the inaugural session, Dipti Kushwah will conduct the interview of Dr Sacchidanand Joshi on the book ‘Pal Bhar ki Pehchan’. Eminent speaker Pushpendra Kulshreshtha will deliver lecture on the topic ‘India and Challenges to Internal Security’.
In the second session at 2.45 pm, Shweta Kewalramani will interview Hrishikesh Joshi, author of ‘Once Again at the Airport’. Sonal Fuke will deliver a lecture on ‘The Art and Science of Story Telling’. Dr Vaikhari Wazalwar will interview Mangala Shankar Deshmukh, author of ‘Khandmeru Swarprastar Sadhana’. Dr Rajnish Shukla will deliver lecture on ‘Bharaitya Darshan Shastra’. Renuka Deshkar will interview Ajay Deshpande, author of ‘Kala Sangam’. Prabha Deoskar will interview Dr Tanuja Nafde on ‘SaReGaMa to Shankhanaad’. Shirish Bhalerao will present Violin performance. On February 16 (Sunday), Dr Sacchidanand Joshi will deliver a talk on the topic ‘Bharat ki Pandulipi Sampada: Hamari Sanskruti Dharohar ka Bhandar’. Dr Ashwini Mahajan will deliver lecture on ‘Indian Economy and Role of Swadeshi Jagran Manch’. Dr Niranjan Rajadhyaksha will speak on ‘iPods, Trade Wars and India’s Economic Future’. In the second session, Dr Manasi Baal Bhargav will speak on ‘Sustainability and Livability Across the Scales of the Built Environment’. Dr Gaurav Gadgil will speak on ‘Netaji Bose and his Hindustani Cultural Nationalism’. Dr Sanjay Deshpande and Dr Swati Dharmadhikari will conduct an interactive session on ‘Love and Violence (Psychological Perspective)’. Maj Gen A S Deo will speak on‘India, PoK and Gilgit Baltistan’. During the two-day festival, the books ‘Khandmeru Swarprastar Sadhana’ by Mangala Shankar Deshmukh, ‘Simulated’ by Soham Fuke, Om Bidyani and Mihir Sangode, will be released. Besides, interactive sessions of eminent personalities including Dr Kapil Chandrayan, Dr Deepali Naidu, and Dr Aparna Samudra on economics, architect Habib Khan and Nina Richa on Art and Culture, and psychiatrist Dr Swati Dharmadhikari will interact on topics of importance.
