On Tuesday, February 18 the DEAR lottery announced its two of the winners C. Ramasami and Prashant Kumar, of a lottery of Rupees 1 crore. A celebration was held at Tuli Imperial, to congratulate them and to commemorate along with them.
Actress Bhagyashree Patwardhan, well known for her role in Bollywood film “Maine Pyar Kiya†was invited as the chief guest for this auspicious event. Various acts and performances were done during the event, which was started with a Ganesh Vandana Dance, staged by a city group.
Later a video was shown, in which importance of lottery and how the lottery has been evolved was shown. It was told during video that “The Great Wall of China†has a part of it built with a lottery winning amount, also the Wembley Stadium in UK was built with lottery money. In the early days of lottery system, when it was introduced in India, only Kerala was involved fully in this lottery business  which later changed and now it can be seen all over India.
Director of Nagaland Lottery during addressed the audience and congratulated the winners, who later also told a brief about lottery system and how it works.
