Police booked a BSc student for impersonating a candidate in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exam on Tuesday. As per information, the matter came to light when the accused Rahul Hemant Bagde (20) came to sit for the exam at the Nutan Bharat Junior College in Bajaj Nagar area of the city. Police said the invigilator found that his face did not match the ID card.
Police said Rahul is a BSc student and hails from a poor family.His friend Vinay Chandrikapure Maurya who is a HSSC student and has gone f UP to attend his sister’s marriage. Hence he could not appear for the exam. And Rahul agreed to appear in the exam in place of Vinay.For that purpose Rahul made a colour Xerox of the photo ID card issued to Vinay by the State Board.
He changed the photo of Vinay and pasted his photo in that place. Meanwhile the invigilator of the examination room got suspicious after checking his identity card. And he caught red-handed. After questioning Rahul admitted that he was impersonating Vinay. And police registered an offence under Sections 419, 468 and 479 of Indian Penal Code against the accused persons by Bajaj Nagar police.
