Dueball Federation of India, under the auspices of Maharashtra Dueball Federation in an extravaganza flagged-off to grand opening ceremony conducted at the playground of St.Ursula Girls High School, situated amidst centrally located heart of orange city, Nagpur on Friday,21st February , by the hands of Member of Legislative Assembly Vikas Thakre.Federation Cup & West Zone, Men and Women Championship is conducted in Joint collaboration organized by Maharshtra Dueball association with Yuva Kalyan Bahudddeshiya Sanstha & St. Ursula GHS.
Opening schedule matches won by Punjab defeated Delhi 10-3 and Goa won by 12-00 to J & K followed by Maharashtra knocked out Rajasthan 12-00 in Men Section and Women section scored 03-02 Punjab defeated Delhi, 00-00 Draw by MP and J&K.
Teams arrived from different states across Nation, were Assam, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Gujarat, Daman and Diu and Central India alongside Mumbai separately were the part amongst this pursuit of being champions in fray to being a part of School Games federation of India –SGFI and Indian Olympic Association striving towards a goal of getting global recognition and vital for health and sports development of overall personality of young talents across nation to bring name and fame in the field of sports.
Dignitaries present ranging from wide sectors of society including Prestigious National Awardees, Ex-officio from various sports streams like Carom, Handball, Athletics, Cricket, Football, Hockey were amongst invitees of this grand finale opening held at St. Ursula playground on first day of 2nd Federation Cup & 1st West Zone National Dueball Championship 2020, Men & Women. The opening ceremony conducted in line of motivational speech by Chief Guest Thakre and Roopkumar Naidu,Kalpana Jadhav, Rajesh Sighane, Firoz Khan, Arif N. Khan Regional Director, Deendayal Upadhyay regional center, Sports Authority of India, SAI and of Rising foundation along with Piyush Ambulkar who has recently won prestigious Chhatrapati sports award and cultural display by students of Tejaswini Vidyalaya.
