Prajakta Godbole of Jai Athletics Club and Central Railway’s Nagraj Khursane triumphed in 21-km half-marathon during State-level Surajya Daud organised by Bouddha Va Magasvargiya Seva Sanstha in association with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) at Mate square here on Saturday.
In the women’s section, Track Star’s Rutuja Shende and Prachi Godbole of the same club came second and third respectively.
In the men’s section, Khursane surpassed Amravati’s Lalit Gawande whereas Lilaram Batane of Jai Athletics finished third.
Earlier Olympian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, mayor Sandip Joshi, former MLA Dr Milind Mane, chief convener of the race Pramod Tabhane, NMC health committee deputy chairman Nagesh Sahare, national champion Narendra Dalal, retail sales manager of Indian Oil Nitin Shedge, Dr Prashant Jagtap, Pankaj Mahajan, Krida Bharti president Dr Anil Karwande flagged off the races.
MP Dr Vikas Mahatme graced the prize distribution function. Dilip Dive, Nagesh Sahare, Narendra Dalal, Prakash Bhoyar, corporators Kishor Wankhede, Sonali Kadu, Rajehsh Mohite, education officer Priti Mishrikotkar, NDAA secretary Dr Sharad Suryavanshi and others were present on the occasion.
