JCI Nagpur Medico released a poster on Say no to plastic under the campaign of Doctors for environment at the hands of Aasawari Shenolikar , Editor Twinkle magazine and Deputy Editor of The Hitavada and JC Senator Mahesh Rathi sir Zone IX JCI India, Zone Director (Environment)JC Shantanu Mitra, Zone Director (PR) JC Dr.Smita Pakhmode, in the presence of Past Presidents of JCI Nagpur medico JC Dr.Ashish Khandelwal, JC Dr.Sachin Deokar members of JCI Nagpur Medico JC Dr.Abhjeet Dhawale, JC Dr.Kavita Dangra, JC Dr.Vasant Dangra at KRIMS Hospital conference room.
Project Director JC Dr.Sameer Arbat explained in detail abt the hazards of Plastic on present and future climate scenario. Co-Presidents JC Raj Mane President JCI Nagpur Urja, JC Gurpreet Tuli , President JCI Women & World, JC Rutuja , JCI Nagpur Pratibha, JC Ashish Agrawal JCI Orange City Nagpur were present prominently. JC Dr.Dinesh Sarda proposed Vote of Thanks.
Its a campaign by doctors to act on climate change and take initiative to try and curtail the damage to the environment. Why doctors should take this campaign was explained by President of JCI Nagpur Medico JC Dr.Swati Sarda that doctors are the direct witness to the health damage and 1/4th diseases today are due to Climate Change and hence the need for doctors to get involved as a part of prevention.
Chief guest Aasawari Shenolikar stressed on the idea that the children should be made aware of the hazards of plastic use and global warming through creative ideas. JC Senator CA Mahesh Rathi emphasized on the need to take action on Global warming by each and every individual and also stressed the importance of Doctors involving in this movement will bring impact on the society.
As an immediate initiative to replace plastic JCI Nagpur Medico has started printing banner on cloth and second replacement was a Pen. The pens made of the newspaper were presented by Ketki Arbat , Director, Krims hospital and Founder director of Prawah organisation. The cover of the pen carries seeds which when thrown into the soil will grow the plant. Lets replace Plastic and Help Nature Nurture us!!
