Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has demolished the illegal constructed bungalow of the infamous gangster of Nagpur, Santosh Ambekar. The demolition work of the building which falls in Darodkar Chowk, Itwari is done under the directives of NMC officials of Gandhibagh zone under police protection.More than 45 police officers were present during the demolishing process. The anti-encroachment team of the NMC started demolishing the unauthorized construction of the bungalow of notorious gangster Ambekar, who lives in Awadhut Mandir Road, Hamalpura, on February 25 at 11 am.
Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe had directed the encroachment team to break the unauthorized construction. Ambekar had built a big bungalow connecting three plots. One of his plots was named after Neha Santosh Ambkar, whose 60.15 sq m building was unauthorized.
The second plot was named after Amarchand Madanlal Mehta, on which he worked on unauthorized construction of 721.56 square meters. The third plot was named after Santosh Ambekar himself and his construction of 21.30 square meters was also unauthorized.
The construction of 803 square meters (8640.28 square feet) on all three plots was unauthorized. The action was taken under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Mahesh Morone and Deputy Commissioner of Police Gajanan Rajmane.
