Nagpurians had a chance to witness the untold story of Kasturba Gandhi, narrated by her great grandson Tushar Gandhi at Chitnavis Centre on Monday. The narrator during introduction itself told that Mahatma Gandhi himself has said that he would not have got this far in the revolution if Kasturba didn’t support me.
Kasturba Gandhi played a great role in the independence movement of India. A knowledge series session organized by SGR Foundation along with Chitnavis Centre portrayed a background life of kasturba which was not depicted in the words of Mohandas.
Kasturba had always been the first lady in every step of development, be it the lessons of cleaning in Africa or nullifying the Hindu marriages, Kastuba bravely fought every battle.
Tushar during his session also said that my great grandfather, who is considered as the father of the nation, in future, for the coming generation I want to put an image of his as a simple man rather than calling him a Mahatma.
