Combine bankers XI team retained the inter Bank Cricket title in the inter Bank Cricket tournament conducted by Bankers sports council, Nagpur played at DSA Central Railway ground here today.
PNB batted first and were restricted to a modest total of 93 runs mainly due to some fine piece of bowling by comb bankers bowling attack comprising Sagar Rodi (2-0-8-4), Mangesh Puranik (4-0-20-2) and Makrand Agasti (4-0-24-2)
For Punjab National Bank Kishore Warudkar and Rohit Gajbhiye contributed 17 runs each while Ankit Vishwakarma scored 12 runs.
In reply, Comb Bankers XI surpassed the modest target in 15.4 overs but lost 7 wickets in the process.
Preshit Chitale (30), Yogesh Puranik (25) and Sagar Rodi 12 were the main contributors. For PNB, Rohit Gajbhiye (4-1-17-2) and Gautam Bodele (3.4-0-25-2) bowled a good spell but couldn’t see their side through to the victory. Anil Adgaonkar and Ankit Vishwakarma took 1 wkt each conceding 10 and 18 runs respectively.
