A blow for the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) administration as on Wednesday, QS World University Rankings, an annual publication of university rankings, released its rankings. Top 1,000 universities and technical institutes from around the world find a place in the rankings.Unfortunately; the Nagpur University does not find a place in the list, whereas Savitribai Phule Pune University and Mumbai University have got a place into the list.
Reputed technical institutes of the country have also made it to the list. Interestingly, Nagpur University was also not included in the National Institution Framework (NIRF) released by the Union human resource development ministry earlier. The publication evaluated universities and institutes of higher and technical education on the basis of academic research and global facilities there.
The Nagpur university could not meet the standards and unable to make place into the list.
