Two students from Amravati district are stuck in Italy due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Pranav Vairal and Suraj Bundele both the students are stuck at the Milan airport in Italy since Wednesday.
As per the information, both Pranav and Suraj had booked their flight tickets with Air India on February 2 and were supposed to board the flight on March 11. Initially no information was shared by the airlines authorities but when both check-in at the Milan airport they were asked to produce the ‘coronavirus negative certificate’.
Students informed that they both had tried for a test at a hospital in Italy but were denied for the test by the authorities.
The parents of both the students have written a letter to Lok Sabha member Navneet Rana to take steps to bring them back to India.
On March 11 Government of India in its official website requested all the travellers to be screened at all the airports and is also required to produce self-declaration forms.
Italy is among the worst affected areas outside China with 60% deaths recorded since the epidemic start spreading.
