The Hockey India (HI) has postponed it four  national championships following coronavirus scare and asked the affiliated units to take a note of this.
According to a press release issued by Vidarbha Hockey Association (VHA) administrator TN Sidhra the 10th HI’s Junior Men National B and A Divisional Championship that were  scheduled to held at Chennai from May 14 to May 21 and from May 19 to May 30 respectively at Chennai have been postonned.
Similarly the 10th HI Junior Women National B and A Divisional Championship scheduled to held at Ranchi in Jharkhand from April 29 to May 9 and from May 7 to May 17 respectively have been postponed.
The Sub-Junior Women National B and A Division Championship scheduled to held at Hisar in Haryana from May 3 to May 14 and from May 12 to May 23 have been postponed. The Sub-Junior Men’s National B and A Divisional Championship that was scheduled to held at Manipur from May 28 to June 4 and from June 3 to June 12 have been postponed.
Thus Hockey India has postponed four major tournaments till further notice. The VHA has asked the affiliated district associations to register hockey players as per norms of the HI as early as possible.
