To curb the increasing spread of coronavirus and provide protection from infection of the deadly virus , the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation will provide sanitizers and masks to passengers, drivers and conductors. The Bhandara division of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has placed a demand of 2000 bottles of sanitizers and equal number of masks. As per information, it has been decided that buses of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation will not be released without cleaning in all six depots Tumsar, Bhandara, Paoni, Sakoli, Tiroda and Gondia coming under Bhandara depot to prevent growing outbreak of coronavirus.
Currently all Shivshahi, super and ordinary buses are being cleaned everyday and are being dispatched after disinfecting by spraying scented phenyl. Instructions have been given to drivers and conductors about care to be taken during journey in buses. Every possible effort is being made to make bus stations less crowded and care is being taken at divisional level. And additional six employees have been appointed for cleaning and disinfecting of buses in every depot. As per information, a meeting of depot managers has been called on March 21 for further plan regarding this matter.
