As the state government has asked all the offices, shops in the city to remain shut till March 31 as the number of the COVID-19 positive cases in the state has been increasing. And today, a suspected person from Delhi has been put in the quarantine facility at MLA hostel.
The person had landed on Delhi airport after traveling from Moscow, Russia. After going through screening and check-up he was asked to be isolated and avoid traveling.
According to sources, having his hometown in Vijayawada, even after suggestions by doctors at Delhi airport the person had got on board a train who later had been asked to halt his journey at Nagpur railway station, by city police.
The person had a quarantine stamp on his hand by which he was caught by the police.
