Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today on the aspect of COVID-19 and the rising cases of the deadly virus in the country. PM Modi appreciated the citizens to make Janata Curfew a success which was requested by him on March 22.
COVID-19 pandemic has caused mass destruction and many developed countries that have all the facilities are facing problems in controlling the pandemic. With the study of these situations from past 2 months the only way to keep one safe is with “Social distancingâ€. We have to break the cycle and chain of Coronavirus.
Some people still think that social distancing is limited to patients who have been tested positive but this is not true it is for everyone even for PM and if we fail to do so than India will have to pay for it.
From past 2 days in many districts we have imposed a lockdown just to break the infection cycle of coronavirus.
“From today midnight I am ordering a complete lockdown for next 21 days in the country in order to save the citizen from the COVID-19 pandemic. In every districts, village, city will be under lockdown. We have to take this step to keep the citizen safe. Our motive is to save every citizen†PM ordered.
“This lockdown will be for 21 days, as per the experts to break the COVID-19 cycle we need 21 days and if we fail to do so we will go back 21 years. I request you to be safe at homeâ€.
PM while addressing the nation said that “according to WHO statistics coronovirus took 67 days to infect first 1 lakh people and in the next 11 days it infected around 2 lakh people and to reach next 3 lakh people it took just 4 days and in order to put an end to this we need to maintain social distancingâ€.
Central Ministry has given Rs 15,000 cr to fight against the deadly virus. And special teams are being prepared to provide facilities for the health care in every city. We are doing proper arrangements to avail all the essential services for the citizens and make everything available.
