As we know the nation is currently undergoing through a very difficult situation and the civic administration of the city is taking all the possible efforts to contain the virus from its wide spread. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has made various arrangements for the needy, homeless and migrant workers.
As per the figures released by the NMC, 1370 migrant workers are stranded in Nagpur. Among them a maximum of 688 people are from Madhya Pradesh.NMC has 5 permanent and 15 temporary shelter homes. With the help of NGOs the civic administration has made arrangements for food and residence of the people staying in the shelter home. Due to the lockdown, these migrant workers are jobless and finding it difficult to lead their life. According to the guidelines of the union government it is necessary to make arrangements for lodging and food for the workers, unemployed and people from the other states.
