The civic chief Tukaram Mundhe recently asked the citizens to provide information to the administration about COVID-19 suspects and extend co-operation to contain the spread of the infection.
Mundhe stated that because of one patient from Satranjipura, as many as 235 citizens were facing the threat of coronavirus infection. Already, Nagpur Municipal Corporation has evacuated 150 persons from 30 families living in Satranjipura area and sent them to quarantine facility. Still people were either not providing information or misleading the administration.
Hence, people should come forward and provide correct information about coronavirus suspects and extend co-operation to the administration. If a person tests negative, he will be sent home. If someone tests positive, he will be given proper treatment at hospital. However, if people do not extend co-operation, NMC will be left with no other option that registering offence against them, commissioner warned.
