Laughter has some really good effects on a human body, not only humans but there are sufficient proves which says that animals laugh too. The first Sunday of May is celebrated as world laughter day since 1998, this day was put forth by Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai. Kataria is also known as the founder of the worldwide laughter yoga movement. According to him positive and powerful emotion that has all the ingredients required for an individual to change themselves and to change the world in a peaceful and positive way.
According to studies an adult on average laughs 17 times a day. This has also encouraged many industries based on laughter to start, be it sitcom or stand up comedians, this simple thing has encouraged many plots in this new world.
Aniruddha Gautam a stand up comedian from Nagpur and a Part of the group Nagpur Komedians, shared his experience with TLN on world laughter day, “People associate laughter with happiness and joy and I think they are quite right, there is a certain amount of satisfaction one gets by making people laugh and I’m lucky enough to be able to do that. I believe in times like these when everyone is quarantined at home, laughter is the one thing that they need someday to get through the day.â€
Gautam has Performed as an opening act for Rahul Subramanian and Gaurav Kapoor and has also done many open mics in and outside Nagpur.
