The outbreak of coronavirus which was followed by lockdown in the complete senses changed the lifestyle of the public and they find it extremely difficult to lead amid the testing times. However, some people are reaping this as a business opportunity. As per information, a trader in Nagpur has traded banned polythene bag in the name of distributing ration kit to poor lockdown victims. He has taken permission from the civic authority to open his shop for two days under the pretext of social service.
After getting information, the NDS team of civic body caught the trader red handed while selling polythene bags. In Itwari also the business of banned polythene bags are reported. The point to be noted here is that the government has banned the sale of polythene bag less than 50 micron.
After lockdown, the demand of Kharra polythene and carry bag of less than 50 micron has increased. The people who are distributing ration to poor are using it.And administration is not taking the things seriously.Polythene trader Paras Jain got the permission to open his shop for two days.NMC has approved the sanction to do the business as it would be used for packaging food packets for the distribution. And when NMC came to know about the business of selling banned polythene bags the NMC caught him red-handed. After raiding his house they seized 200 kg of Kharra foil. This is what they are doing in the name of social service amid such difficult times. The administration has to take strict action against such malpractices to discourage people from doing such activities in future.
