An air Ambulance made an emergency landing at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur due to a medical emergency on Thursday. Due to the ongoing pandemic flight services have been cancelled to avoid the spread of the virus.
According to the information received, A patient was to be taken to Kolkata from Mumbai airport for a medical emergency but due to low fuel capacity of the air ambulance it made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport at 10.30 am today.
After all the action, it was re-fuelled. While the tank was refuelled the management and the airport authority made sure no one from the aircraft stepped out without any obvious reason. The air ambulance enrouted to Kolkata around 11 am.
It is to be noted that, even after the implementation of lockdown across the country and flights are cancelled, airport authorities and staff are still working and are in operations 24*7 for emergency services.
