In view of the extension of the lockdown, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University on Wednesday postponed all its written and practical examinations of the university to be held till May 17.The university examination and valuation board director issued a notification on Wednesday in this regard. With this decision, 90 percent of the university examination has been postponed. Now only fourth and last phase examinations are remaining.
If lockdown increases, the university will have to postpone these examinations also. Earlier, it was hoped that fourth phase examination will be held but as the lockdown 3 started from May 3, these examinations were also postponed. As per information, the university has not planned any measures or solutions to solve the issue yet. As per the sources, the officials of the university examination department are waiting for the report of the committee constituted by the chancellor of the university Bhagat Singh Koshiyari.The committee has been asked to make recommendations regarding the examination department and the report is yet to come. With the extension of the lockdown the university employees have been asked to work from home. Only those employees are being called in office who is needed.
