After the gas leaking accident at LG Polymers chemical factory, Visakhapatnam on Thursday, a team scientists from National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) left for Vizag on Thursday. As per information, along with three senior officers of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from Pune, a total of five people flew from Nagpur airport following the guidelines for travel.
They have kept some chemicals with them and are supposed to do some testing there. The effect of the gas in the ground and air will also be investigated. As per information, the special NDRF team was sent from Pune to Andhra Pradesh for engaging in relief and rescue work and three officers of the team had gone to investigate the impact of chemical reaction during the accidents in Japan and Nepal. They had also worked during the accident of chlorine gas leak in Mumbai.
