Bhilwada District Collector has imposed a fine of Rs 6,26,600 on a person who invited more than 50 people in his son’s marriage ceremony on June 13. According to reports as many as 15 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and one person has died due to the disease after attending the function.
Reports further states that around 250 people attended the function. Also, no masks and Sanitizes were used and physical distancing was totally neglected during the programme.
The covid-19 waves sweeping across the country. As per latest data, the total number of positive cases in the Rajasthan has gone up to 16,944 and death toll to 391, state government said. Today it reported 11 deaths and 284 cases. Four deaths were reported in Jaipur, three in Jodhpur, one each in Ajmer, Bharatpur and Pali besides one death of a patient from outside the state.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra notched up the count of covid19 cases. As many as 5,318 cases were reported in the state in last 24 hours, making the biggest single day rise in the number of cases so far. The state death toll climbed to 7,273.
