After a long wait, the state government approved the reopening of salons, barber shops in city.However, there was no much rush were seen in the reopening day of the salons.
The point to be noted here is that at present the salons are allowed only to do haircuts. The salon workers were seen doing haircuts wearing full PPE kits. Amidst this condition, the salons are now charging a minimum amount of Rs.150 for haircuts.
After a long struggle finally the salon owners and workers are happy as the salons start functioning. However, there is still confusion among some salon owners about re-opening their businesses, while some due to lack of funds have not been able to purchase the PPE kits and other necessary materials required as per the government guidelines. During the morning hours, most salons did not see many customers gradually the number of customers increased towards the evening hours.
