In today’s count of positive cases of corona virus, nine officials of Nagpur Central Jail tested positive for COVID-19 on. This incident raised concerns, following which a mass testing of prison staff and inmates was also initiated.
According to the reports, the officials earlier had symptoms of cold and fever after which their samples were taken.
On Tuesday the results came which showed a positive effects of the virus. The contact tracing of the positive personnel has been initiated by the jail authorities and other jail staffers, who also came in contact, have reportedly been sent on home quarantine while inmates have been kept in an isolation, sources informed.
