Now, the month of June is coming to an end. NL Sawarkar, General Secretary of the Mahasangh, urged the ZP administration to release the salary and pension for April and May, and also to release the salary for June on the first date of next month. He also pointed out that employees in distress could not withdraw the money from their general provident fund (GPF) as budget distribution system (BDS) was not functional.
As a result, the proposals filed since April 2020 for withdrawals from GPF are pending. Besides, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer has also issued a letter to all heads of the departments and Block Development Officers not to process GPF withdrawal requests till functioning of BDS was restored. And demanded the ZP administration and the Government to look in to the matter and provide relief to the staffers in need.
